2. Position the Trimmer: Place the trimmer over the wick. The flat part of the trimmer should rest on the wax surface, and the blades should encircle the wick.
3. Trim the Wick: Gently squeeze the handles of the trimmer together to snip the wick. Aim to trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (6 mm) in length. This length helps promote an even burn and reduces soot and smoke.
4. Remove the Trimmed Wick: Once you’ve trimmed the wick, remove the trimmings from the candle. This helps prevent debris from contaminating the wax.
5. Dispose of Trimmings: Properly dispose of the trimmed wick pieces to keep your candle area clean.
6. Light the Candle: Your candle is now ready to be lit. The shorter wick will help the candle burn more cleanly and last longer.
